Higgin  Lloyd  and Partners  was established in 1966 and prior to the amalgamation  had undertaken  over twelve hundred projects  in Papua New Guinea, the Pacific Islands  and Australia. W  M  Phillips  Architects was  formed  in  1978  following the  PNG Parliament   House Design  Competition when  Bill  Phillips won  the  competition. Both  firms  brought extensive experience covering a  wide  variety  of  major  commercial, residential and industrial buildings completed throughout the South Pacific Region. PAC Architects undertakes work throughout Papua New Guinea, Northern Australia  and the Pacific  Islands  including Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and New Zealand. Consultancies have been undertaken in Guam, the Federal States  of Micronesia, The Republic  of Palau and the Marshall Islands.

PAC Architects have always had a simple philosophy:

“to provide every client with the best possible outcome for their particular project possible”.

We believe that our philosophy is the reason that PAC Architect has operated continuously with Head Office in Port Moresby since 1966. Not unexpectedly PAC Architects has undergone name changes and a succession of principal Architects:

1966 – Commencement “Higgin Lloyd and Partners”.

1978 – W.M Phillips was formed in 1978 after winning the design completion for Parliament Haus.

1989 – Higgin Lloyd and W.M Phillips amalgamated to form: Pacific Architects Consortium (PNG) Limited.

2009 – Name was change to: Pacific Architects (PNG) Limited trading as PAC Architects.
